The Hegau-Jugendwerk GmbH in Gailingen, Germany, encompasses a neurological hospital and rehabilitation centre offering comprehensive rehabilitation services and care for children, adolescents and young adults with diseases, trauma or disorders of the central and/or peripheral nervous systems.
Founded in 1972 as a model facility for children and adolescents in Germany, the Hegau-Jugendwerk receives financial support from the German federal and state governments and social insurance organisations. Since its opening, patients from other countries have also been treated in our facility. The Hegau Jugendwerk Gailingen operates in co-operation with the Hegau-Bodensee-Hochrhein-Kliniken GmbH and the non-profit, community association Jugendwerk Gailingen e.V.

The Hegau-Jugendwerk GmbH has 197 beds. The Neurological Hospital has 35 beds (in accordance with legal regulations set forth in §39 of the Sozialgesetzbuch (SGB), Part V). The Rehabilitation Centre offers 165 beds (in accordance with legal regulations set forth in §40 of the SGB, Part V).

The Hegau-Jugendwerk offers a wide spectrum of services and fully meets the standards for patient care for rehabilitation phases A,B,C, D and E (as outlined by the Bundesarbeitgemeinschaft für Rehabilitation). In addition, it provides services for continuing rehabilitative care.
